Longley acquires Par-K dealership

By Stefan Yablonski

Since 1947, the Longley family has been in the automotive business — making it one of the longest family-owned businesses in the area.

They just purchased the nearby Par-K dealership. The owners, the Patane family, are retiring.

Now we are Longley Bros. Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Inc. We added Chrysler and Jeep,” said Eric Scanna sales manager. “We just closed yesterday (Aug. 27). All the Jeeps are down here already.”

They will continue to do business at their current location, 1698 County Route 57, Fulton.

We didn’t buy the property, we just bought the franchise,” Scanna said. “Right now (the inventory) is all here. It’s kind of a mess, but we’re trying. We brought on a couple of their staff but that was it.”

Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

The family owned business is celebrating 78 years in 2025.

Doug Longley, third generation, is president. His father, Dennis Longley, is the second generation. The fourth generation is Doug’s son, Aiden.

The business started in 1947; on Leitch Street as strictly a body shop. It moved to County Route 57 in 1955.
