The Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce hosted its 2026 annual meeting, presented by Constellation, at the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center in Oswego. The event’s theme, Rooted in Community. Rising with Intention, highlighted how the region’s growth is driven by purposeful strategy, strong collaboration and a shared vision for the future.
The meeting also celebrated the GOFCC’s 110th anniversary in the Oswego community and 10th anniversary of integration with CenterState CEO. As the organization marked these exciting milestones, it unveiled a new GOFCC logo and brand story that illustrates its strong foundation and where it’s headed as it continues to support the business community.
In her remarks to the audience of more than 200, GOFCC executive director Sara Broadwell shared stories of growth, perseverance and commitment across the business community.
“Today is about more than just milestones; we honor the foundation that brought us here,” said Broadwell. “As we celebrate more than a century of leadership and over a decade of partnership with CenterState CEO, we pause to reflect on what makes the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce so essential to this community. I am proud to say the GOFCC has been a force for business success, growth and opportunity, supporting organizations of every size, connecting neighbors and entrepreneurs and ensuring that every voice in Oswego County is heard.”
The event featured keynote remarks from Novelis’ Kevin Schutt, vice president, manufacturing and production support, Novelis North America.
Most recently, Schutt supported Novelis’ North American plants across the region and multiple states, overseeing external operations for multiple tolling and warehousing facilities and beverage packaging operations. Currently, Schutt is leading the recovery effort to restore Novelis’ Oswego Hot Mill to operation.
During the keynote address, sponsored by NBT Bank, Shutt highlighted Novelis’ global leadership in the automotive industry and underscored the strategic importance of its operations in Oswego County. Additionally, he shared his perspective on the current operating landscape in the aftermath of the recent fires, offering both a look back at the challenges faced and a forward-looking perspective on plans to rebuild and emerge stronger.
