AmeriCU Credit Union Opens Branch in Fulton

AmeriCU Credit Union in August celebrated the grand opening of its brand-new financial center in Fulton.

This marks AmeriCU’s 21st brick-and-mortar location, expanding AmeriCU’s presence in Oswego County and bringing members greater access to the credit union’s wide range of services.

“As a member-owned financial institution, AmeriCU lives by the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people’ every day,” said Ron Belle, president and CEO of AmeriCU Credit Union. “Our new Fulton financial center gives us the opportunity to help those who live in and around Fulton to live life, dream big and achieve financial success. We’re honored to officially join this incredible community and excited for the future we’ll continue to create together.”

AmeriCU employees, local officials, and community members celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug. 13. The mayor of Fulton, Jim Rice, and representatives from the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce also joined the special occasion. During his remarks, the mayor spoke about the positive impact AmeriCU is already making.

“I am proud to have AmeriCU as part of our community,” the mayor said. “AmeriCU consistently supports local charities and nonprofit organizations, and I’m happy to say that they’re already investing some of their resources here in our city.”

AmeriCU has 21 branches serving 24 counties in New York. It has over167,000 members and $2.7 billion in assets. It’s headquartered in Rome.
