T.J. Sheehan Distributing, a subsidiary of Sheehan Family Companies, has reached a deal to acquire Oswego-based Eagle Beverage Company, adding roughly three million cases and pushing its total volume past 30 million annually. The move expands Sheehan’s footprint across five additional counties and deepens its position within the Anheuser-Busch network.
Pending regulatory and supplier approvals, the deal is expected to close Aug. 28 close. The deal also brings a broad portfolio of suppliers into closer alignment — from A-B to Diageo, Duvel, Boston Beer and regional craft players — while impacting more than 150 employees and a significant number of hires from Eagle’s team.
Eagle Beverage Company, Inc. was founded in 1979 and is a multi-generational, family-owned, local New York beverage wholesaler. Eagle Beverage began distribution in Oswego County and now services five counties across Upstate New York; including Jefferson, Lewis, Seneca and Cayuga. They are an active member of the New York State Beer Wholesalers Association, the National Beer Wholesalers Association and The Fort Drum Liaison Committee.
They distribute a diverse and first-rate portfolio of beverages, including Anheuser-Busch and FIFCO beers, as well as top selling local and regional craft beers, premium non-alcohol beverages, water, soda, tea, wine and spirits.
