Greg Mills is resigning from his position as executive director of the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce, effective July 22.

“Over the past few years, I have enjoyed working with businesses across our community to support their growth and success, and I look forward to continuing my involvement with the chamber through my new role at Empower Federal Credit Union,” Mills said.

During Mills’ tenure at the chamber, a new strategic partnership was formed with CenterState CEO in Syracuse to increase the reach and influence of both organizations.

“I, the staff and executive committee want to ensure a smooth transition that will not disrupt the great work that the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce is doing on a daily basis,” Mills said. “The executive team and CenterState CEO have met and are committed to a process that involves a communication strategy, employee engagement, and continued outreach with staff, the board and our valued chamber members.”

The board of directors will work closely with Danielle Hayden, assistant executive director of the chamber, to provide a support plan to assist her with the chamber’s mission and goals, member expectations and day-to-day operations, Mills said.

Mills said the chamber’s executive committee is beginning a search for his replacement.
