Former Birds Eye Plant Undergoes Renovation

New food processor expected to begin production later this year

The County of Oswego Industrial Development Agency recently closed with 607 Phillips Street Acquisition LLC, which has acquired the former Birds Eye facility from Pinnacle Foods.

607 Phillips Street Acquisition is in the process of renovating the facility in preparation for its frozen, value-added food process.

Active recruitment for technical and management positions has begun. A firm has been retained for recruitment for production workers that is set to begin in the spring. The project is expected to create 183 jobs.

Production at the facility is expected to begin in approximately six months.

The new operating company plans to make a formal announcement of its project in the near future.
