New Top Exec Named at ARC of Oswego, Oswego Industries

Mike Szpak has wealth of managerial experience

Mike Szpak is the new executive director/CEO of ARC of Oswego County and Oswego Industries, Inc.

This is only the third executive director in the history of both agencies.

Szpak will be responsible for leading and managing services and daily operations for ARC of Oswego County and Oswego Industries, Inc. In collaboration with the boards of directors for both ARC and OI and senior management, Szpak will ensure alignment with the mission of both agencies, while overseeing budget goals and projections, business operations, corporate compliance and other managerial decisions.

“After a long search we believe we have found the perfect candidate to lead both agencies,” said Mike Egan, member of the executive director search committee that was comprised of both ARC and OI board members. “Mike’s experience seems to be an excellent fit for both of the agencies to best serve individuals with disabilities in Oswego County.”

Szpak comes to ARC of Oswego County and OI with managerial experience from a variety of sources, most recently Rochester Rehabilitation and Rehabilitation Enterprise where he served as vice president of operations and business development.

Other related experience includes divisional operations manager, operations project manager, finance manager and manufacturing, engineering and facilities manager at CPI Business Groups.

Szpak received his Bachelor of Science degree in management of human resources from Roberts Wesleyan College and his Master of Business Administration degree in executive development program from the Simon School at the University of Rochester.

Szpak lives in the Rochester area but will be relocating to Oswego County.
