Former K of C Site Renovated Into Hotel

Beacon Hotel to open on West Fifth Street in Oswego
By Lou Sorendo

The former Knights of Columbus building, 130 W. Fifth St., Oswego, is being renovated into a boutique hotel.

Atom and Falecia Avery, owners of All Seasons Inn in Scriba, intend on opening the hotel at West Fifth and Bridge streets in the Port City.

The Beacon Hotel will be located within the Franklin Square Historic District of Oswego.

“We are working hard to open this small boutique hotel early this summer. Our project isn't completed yet,” said Falecia Avery.

She said the completion date is looking to be mid-May to early June.

The owners are planning a grand opening from noon to 5 p.m. July 3.

“Our hotel is premiere in location, service and amenities,” according to the owners.

The hotel will feature 14 rooms.

“It has all the amenities of a major hotel franchise, but is small enough that our staff can pay attention to the finest of details,” the owners said.

The facility will also offer a separate conference/banquet room for small private gatherings.
