Tom Herbert Takes Position with Mars Hill Network

Named to Network Development Position

    Public radio sales representative Tom Herbert has accepted a calling into the radio broadcast ministry and is responsible for “Network Development" for the Mars Hill Radio Network.  Mars Hill Network is a regional not-for-profit listener supported radio network with 4 full-power FM stations.  WMHR 102.9 in Syracuse, WMHN 89.3 Webster/Rochester, WMHI 94.7 Cape Vincent/Watertown, and WMHQ 90.1 Malone/Massena.  

    Herbert will be responsible for developing listener support and developing relationships and support from churches, ministries, para-church ministries and businesses that support the mission of the Mars Hill Network. Herbert will also assist in on-air and production duties.  

    Prior to his appointment at the Mars Hill Network, Herbert was employed 14 years at NPR-National Public Radio Affiliate, The WRVO Stations, based at the SUNY Oswego Campus with broadcast coverage to the Syracuse, Utica and Watertown radio markets.  He also has prior experience in commercial radio sales and public relations.  

    Herbert resides in Oswego with his wife, Jan.  He is also employed part-time at New Covenant Community Church in Oswego as the Church Business Administrator.
