A hotelier in Oswego County has changed over his businesses to Travelodge franchises in Oswego and Pulaski.

The Scottish Inn & Suites in Oswego has been converted to a Travelodge franchise. Its address is 309 W. Seneca St.

Meanwhile, The Red Carpet Inn and the Scottish Inn & Suites, located at 3723 and 3724 state Route 13 in Pulaski, respectively, have been converted over to a Travelodge. Both used to be the former Redwood Motel in Pulaski.

Travelodge is part of the Wyndham Worldwide family of hotel brands.

Both are owned by Ramesh "Roger" Modi, a native of India. He made the conversions in July.

Vincent Ruggio, manager at the Travelodge Pulaski, said many upgrades have occurred since the conversion was made.

Free wireless Internet, a free continental breakfast, 25-inch televisions, pulsating showers, microwaves and refrigerators are some of the new upgrades at both locations, he noted.

He said the hotel is enjoying traffic generated by the annual salmon run which draws many anglers to Pulaski.

Modi also owns the Days Inn of Oswego, 101 state Route 104 East.
