Vacant Char-Pit Property Sold

Deal brokered by Century 21 Galloway Realty
By Staff Writers

The site of the former Char-Pit Restaurant on Oswego?s eastern Route 104 corridor has been sold.

The Oswego County Real Property Tax Office lists the property as being owned by James M. Donegan of Alexandria Bay. The deal is being brokered by Century 21 Galloway Realty in Oswego.

Owner/agent Bill Galloway declined to comment on the sale until certain details were finalized, but rumors persist that Oswego County National Bank (OCNB) is the buying party. OCNB Senior Vice President Ron Tascarella had no comment at this time.

OCNB relocated its headquarters from downtown Oswego to the refurbished IBEW building on Route 104 in 2004, not far from the site of the Char-Pit.

Donegan could not be reached for comment.
