Government Relations Roundtable Scheduled for March 10

Meeting will focus on Medicaid Reform Proposal

    Edward Reinfurt, Vice President of The Business Council of New York State, Inc.will be speaking at the Oswego County Chamber of Commerce?s Government Relations Roundtable March 10, 2005.

    Reinfurt, a business advocate who is responsible for helping advance priority governmental affairs issues of the Business Council, will be speaking on the Council's Medicaid Reform Proposal.

    In past years, Reinfurt has spent considerable time on a wide range of public policy issues. He most recently has championed the Council's research university and technology initiatives.

    Hehas beena member of the New York State Department of Health's Committee on Public Health Priorities, the Governor's Task Force to Restructure Employment, Health and Social Services, and the Accountability Team of the Labor and Education Department's joint committee reviewing the state's Workforce Development System. Reinfurt is also member of the board of Northeast Health, Inc. and a past Chair.

    The Government Relations Roundtable is slated for March 10, 2005, at Vonas? Restaurant in Oswego. Registration will be held at 11:30 p.m., luncheon 12 p.m. Cost for the luncheon is $15. To register for this event contact the Oswego County Chamber of Commerce at 598-4231.
